Day Support Program

 
 
 

            The Day Program is an intervention program for youth who have lost whole or partial existing school placements. The programs main objective is to reintegrate youth into an appropriate educational placement. The program helps to stabilize youth by providing a monthly schedule with the same activity on each day of each week. There are a number of separate components in each day from volunteer, recreation, educational, fieldtrips; life skills and physical activity. Thru such structure and stabilization in a supervised setting youth are preparing to re- enter an educational program. The program runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. year round.

 
          
 

            During the summer month’s youth are able to be a part of a Work Ed program. This program offers youth the opportunity to gain new work skills, learn responsibility, gain confidence, and the ability to work as part of a team.

 
 
 

    The Day Support Program accommodates a maximum of 12 youth between the ages of 12 to 17.

 
 
 
 
 

Day Support Assists youth:

 

              - By provide support regarding legal issues by transporting and attending court, lawyers, probation reporting

 
                and case conference appointments.
 

              - By coordinate case planning with any & all involved community agencies.

 

              - By maintain daily contact with youth, workers and/or guardians in regards to the youth’s progress.

 

              -By having a structured day program for youth during the summer months.

 

              -By having one to one sessions with youth in order to establish and maintain relationships.
