Maintenance Residential - Full Time

The Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc. - EGADZ requires a Full Time Maintenance Person to be responsible for Maintenance of EGADZ Youth Centre Facility as well as Residential Housing as required. This includes safety and other necessary inspections as required.

The Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc. / EGADZ is an inter-agency, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide services for hard to serve youth in Saskatoon with the mission to encourage and support them to make choices that improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

· Previous custodial/maintenance experience with Commercial/Residential buildings required.

· Knowledge and experience in carpentry

· Minor skills in plumbing and electrical

· Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with youth, staff, vendors and various trade contractors.

· Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in oral and written form

· Good Time Management

· Valid Class 5 Driver’s License that reflects a safe driving record— a Driver’s Abstract is required (no older than 3 Months)

· WHIMIS Certification

· Child Welfare Check Required

· Criminal Records Check Required (no older than 6 Months)

· Knowledge of Indigenous Culture is an asset

· Working knowledge of computers/windows is an asset

Wage $21.39–$25.00 based on experience
